BRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
It has been so cold the past few days! Macie said it NEVER got this cold in China! Right now, it is -9. Tomorrows high is going to be a balmy -2. Evan is hoping school will be called off due to the cold.
Here is our forcast, compliements of weather.com:
BITTER COLD AIR WILL CONTINUE....A COLD RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL EXTEND FROM MANITOBA CANADA TO THE MID MISSISSIPPI VALLEY. AS A RESULT THE COLDEST AIR OF THE SEASON WILL REMAIN ENTRENCHED INTO AT LEAST TUESDAY. (oh yeah)
BITTER COLD AIR AND WINDS OF 5 TO 15 MPH AT NIGHT...AND 10 TO 20 MPH DURING THE DAY WILL CAUSE FREQUENT DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS.A WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN VERY COLD AIR TEMPERATURES...AND WINDS OF 10 MPH OR GREATER...CREATE HAZARDOUS WIND CHILL VALUES OF BETWEEN 20 BELOW TO 34 BELOW ZERO. (can a person really feel the difference between -20 and -34?)
ALTHOUGH A SLIGHT MODERATION IN TEMPERATURES IS EXPECTED BY MIDWEEK...ANOTHER REENFORCEMENT OF VERY COLD AIR COULD ARRIVE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.
Macie told me it was not fair that it is warm in Florida where Nana & Papa are. She and the boys can't wait to visit. I have to admit though, Saturday morning was beautiful. The sun was shining and everything was frosty and sparkled in the sun. On Friday, the groundhog at the Milwaukee Zoo did not see his shadow. That is supposed to mean an early spring. But Punxatawny Phil saw his shadow so the folks out in PA have six more weeks of winter. Right now, it sure feels like spring is a long way off! BRRRRRRR!
