Macie & I went to see Steven Curtis Chapman in concert last night. It was a great show. Macie's favorite song is "Cinderella". These are some of the picutres from the show. At the concert, they had people going around with buckets to collect change for orphans (Steven has 3 daughters from China). Macie had been stuffing her piggy bank so she could take it to the concert. Two of the bucket volunteers were my brother-in-law & sister-in-law, David & Shelly. Macie emptied her piggy bank into Uncle David's bucket. At the end of the show, they gave a local couple a grant of $4000 to help them with the adoption of a child from Columbia. They actually raised over $5400 so the extra money will go to Show Hope to help another family with an adoption. It was very very cool.

Hi there! We are big fans of blogs and came across yours - we just wanted to say hi and say THANK YOU to Macie. It brought tears to my eyes to read of your heart to save up and bring your bank to the concert and we are just completely amazed and honored that the money from YOUR piggy bank will help our son or daughter come home! It is a slow process from Colombia and will require some patience, but please check in every once in awhile and know that you made a huge difference in our family. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
