Ok, so it isn't even 7am and here are more pictures of Harbin. The is a city of early risers. We went for a walk and people were getting in their morning exercise. We met a very nice man who was playing ping pong. Another nice man wanted to know if we spoke Russian. Since this province is so close to Russia, there is quite a Russian influence in the area. The lights in the park look like flowers and maple leaves. The lilacs are blooming and smell wonderful. We found a local street market w/the cutest shoes--just might have to go back there :) We stopped at McDonald's for a cup of coffee and oj. We also wandered around the hotel and it looks like there is going to be a wedding here today. We might just have to check that out. It looks like they are setting up for an outdoor concert right in front of the hotel. We are heading off to breakfast now. We will try to update often.
