Happy Birthday Macie Bei Bei!!!

We celebrated Macie Bei Bei's 8th birthday on Sunday. We had a very nice party with some of her aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and friends. She was a bit overwhelmed with all the gifts. One of our guides in China told us that they don't celebrate birthdays like we do in America. They may have a small cake with their immediate family, but that is about it. She was so cute opening her gifts. We gave her a new bike that she really likes to ride around the neighborhood. The kids are really enjoying the last couple of weeks before school starts. It still amazes me when I think of how this little girl has had her entire world turned upside down and how well she is doing. She loves to play cards with the boys. Her favorite card games are spoons, uno and war. I am really enjoying my time off and it will be hard to go back to work at the end of September.
