It was a very busy weekend.......

We packed so much into this past weekend. Saturday, Macie and I were invited to a Victorian tea party at the West Bend Art Museum. We went with Shelly and Madeline. We enjoyed finger sandwiches, desserts and different kinds of teas. We got to meet an artist that does illustrations for some of the American Girl books. There was a silent auction and a ballerina danced for us. We enjoyed looking at all of the beautiful artwork. The girls really liked the doll house room. Most of the pictures from the art museum were taken by Macie.

After the tea party. Shelly and I headed off to a fund raiser that we were helping coordinate. It was a benefit for Chix 4 a Cause. This is a wonderful organization that helps cancer patients and their families. This party was to celebrate our shoe hunting season. While our husbands were out in the woods hunting deer, we were in the malls hunting for that perfect pair of shoes! The party was a blast. This party had been in the makes for weeks. Unfortunately, mother nature did not cooperate. The weather was awful. We had snow, sleet & rain. The roads were terrible. We anticipated 50 to 60 people but the weather really put a damper on that. Twenty brave, die hard shoe hunters made it to the party. We had a great time & I think everyone went home with at least one door prize. We had a few silent auctions items too. One of the items was a copy of Deanna Favre's new book. My mom stood in line for 3 1/2 hours to get it signed! The book went for $90.00! Special recognition was give to mom on our sponsor board. The lady that founded Chix 4 a Cause was so grateful. It really was a fun time. We can't wait until next season!
