We spent Mother's Day wandering around the area outside our hotel. One of the banks had some sort of promotion going on so there was all kinds of activity. Again, my pictures are out of order. The last one is a raft type platform on the river's edge with a cotton candy vendor on it. The cotton candy did not come in our lovely shades of blue, pink, yellow or green. It was all white. It was actually kinda cool looking. I couldn't resist taking the picture of the little girl w/her cotton candy. Since our hotel room faces the river, we could enjoy the entertainment from hour room. Our window opens (no screen) so we could hear the music and the drums. There were huge drums like they had at the Olympic ceremonies. There were boats taking people to Sun Island, but we decided not to do that. Not sure if we would have made it back or not:) We went into one of the Russian goods shops and the clerk gave mom and I each a carnation for Mother's Day. We also ventured to Walmart. It was a very relaxing day. We weren't very adventurous diners. We had lunch at McDs and dinner at Pizza Hut:) It was a good day but today will be even better. In a few short hours we will head to the Civil Affairs office to meet Bethany! I will post more later. Please pray for us!

Dear Casey, Jill and Macie,

Our family was all here today and I asked them to pray for you. So you had prayers going your way. Happy Mother's Day Jill and Casey. Can't wait to see the picture of the smile on Bethany's face when she meets her sister Macie, her mom and her grandma. Love to you all, Susie
